Kawai MP9500
The world had never seen a portable professional stage piano with real wooden keys until the arrival of the MP9000 in 2001. Its successor, the award-winning MP9500 took that success to an even higher level with an enhanced action, improved sounds, and a plethora of new control features. The MP9000 set a new standard for superb touch in a portable stage piano, becoming the top choice among professionals who needed a road-worthy instrument with terrific sound and the natural feel of a grand piano. Four years later, the MP9500 arrived with its redesigned AWA Grand Pro Action with wooden keys, 64 onboard sounds, and expanded MIDI capabilities, immediately drawing industry attention and earning the prestigious Readers Choice Award from Tastenwelt Magazine in Germany. Now a Kawai Legacy Product, the MP9500 helped establish a pattern of evolution that has made subsequent MP Series models the most award-winning instruments in their class.
Kawai MP10
Kawai MP10
The MP10 was part of Kawai’s line of professional stage pianos named “Pro Digital Piano Line of the Year” by the readers of MMR Magazine in 2014. With 88-key piano sampling and Kawai’s proprietary Harmonic Imaging sound technology, it provided a wide range of excellent sounds and a great touch with real wooden keys. Three independent sound sections (Piano, EP, and Sub) provided a full range of keyboard sounds, and an expanded effects section offered extensive sound-shaping capability. Now a Kawai Legacy product, the MP10 paved the way for the MP11 which, along with the MP7, was named “Pro Digital Keyboard Line of the Year” by the readers of MMR Magazine again in 2018.
