The RX-2 Classic Salon Grand was one of the most popular models of the award-winning RX Series line of grand pianos, first introduced in 1995. As a collection, the RX Series was chosen “Acoustic Piano Line of the Year” by MMR Magazine in 2003, 2004, and 2005. After a successful 18-year tenure, the RX Series was replaced by the GX BLAK Series in 2013. The Kawai RX Series grand pianos were long revered for their outstanding touch and tone. The Ultra-Responsive Action with ABS Styran found in all RX models was far superior to the conventional all-wooden actions found on most other pianos. The RX-2 featured the Millennium III Grand Action with ABS-Carbon Composite parts, NEOTEX™ key surfaces, mahogany hammer mouldings, and the CORE™ System for superior tone.

The Kawai RX-3 Conservatory Grand was extremely popular in the piano teaching community from the day the RX Series was first introduced in 1995. The RX Series was chosen “Acoustic Piano Line of the Year” by MMR Magazine’s Dealers’ Choice Awards in three consecutive years (2003, 2004, and 2005). After 18 years of success, the RX Series was succeeded by the GX BLAK Series in 2013. The Kawai RX Series Professional Grand Pianos were long heralded for their extraordinary touch and tone.
